Sinfully Rich Chocolate Chip Cookies
- 12 oz. semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 1/4 c. pecans or walnuts, chopped
- 1 c. plus 2 Tbsp. unsifted flour
- 1/2 tsp. baking soda
- 1/2 c. butter (room temperature)
- 1/3 c. smooth peanut butter
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. firmly packed brown sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- Preheat oven to 325u0b0 and grease cookie sheets.
- Mix together flour and baking soda and set aside.
- In a separate bowl, beat butter, peanut butter, sugar and brown sugar in a bowl until light and fluffy.
- Beat in egg and vanilla until blended.
- Stir in flour mixture and blend.
- Add nuts and chocolate chips and mix.
- Using a tablespoon, form walnut-size balls.
- Place dough 2 inches apart on cookie sheet.
- Bake for 15 to 17 minutes, until golden brown on edges and lightly brown on top of cookie.
- Cool on wire racks.
