Potatoes Laritan

  1. Saute onions in 1/4 c. butter.
  2. Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
  3. In a large bowl, mix soup and sour cream.
  4. Stir well but do not over-stir, as the cream will break down.
  5. Stir in the onion mixture and add the potatoes.
  6. Mix well and pour into a 13 x 9 baking dish.
  7. Melt the remaining 1/4 c. butter and mix with the crushed corn flakes.
  8. Sprinkle on top and bake at 350u0b0 for 45 minutes.
  9. It bubbles up, so make sure the pan is deep enough.
