Sweet And Sour Pork
- 2 c. pork, cut in 1/2-inch squares
- 1 egg
- 1 c. flour
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 c. chicken broth
- 1 1/2 tsp. soy sauce
- 3 Tbsp. brown sugar
- 1/2 c. pineapple syrup
- 1 1/2 tsp. catsup
- 6 Tbsp. vinegar
- 4 tsp. cornstarch
- 4 tsp. water
- 1 c. pineapple chunks, drained
- 1 diced green pepper
- 1/4 c. cubed onions
- Dip meat in egg, then in flour and salt and deep fry in fat at 360u0b0 for 6 to 8 minutes.
- Drain and set aside.
- Combine next 6 ingredients and bring to boil.
- Mix cornstarch and water and add to mixture to thicken.
- Add pineapple, green peppers, onions and pork. Cook until hot, about 4 minutes.
- Serves 2 or 3.
