Italian Hunters Stew
- 2 lb. meat, cut into 2 inch pieces
- 3 Tbsp. oil
- 2 cloves garlic or garlic powder
- 2 16 oz. cans of stewed tomatoes
- 1 6 oz. can of tomato paste
- 3 large onions, cut into quarters
- 3 med carrots, cut into 1-inch pieces
- 1 1/2 Tbsp. seasoned salt
- 1/2 c. parsley
- 1 tsp. chili powder
- 1 tsp. oregano
- 1 Tbsp. flour
- 1/3 c. Parmesan cheese
- ziti
- Heat oil, brown meat.
- Add garlic and onions, saute well, turning often.
- Stir in tomatoes, paste, flour, salt, chili powder, oregano and parsley.
- Add 2 c. water and simmer covered 1 hour and 15 minutes.
- Skim off fat.
- Add carrots and simmer until they are tender; cook ziti, add to stew and serve with cheese on top.
