German Cream Cheese Brownies
- 1 (4 oz.) German sweet chocolate
- 3 Tbsp. butter
- 3 oz. cream cheese, softened
- 2 Tbsp. butter
- 1/4 c. sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 Tbsp. flour
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 2 eggs
- 3/4 c. sugar
- 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/2 c. flour
- 1/2 c. chopped nuts
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1/4 tsp. almond extract
- Beat 2 eggs until light and fluffy; gradually add sugar, beating until thickened.
- Fold in baking powder, salt and flour. Blend in cooled chocolate mixture.
- Stir in nuts and flavoring. Measure 1 cup chocolate batter and set aside.
- Spread remaining chocolate batter in a 9-inch square pan.
- Pour cheese mixture on top.
- Drop reserved chocolate batter by spoonfuls on cheese mixture; swirl the mixture together just to marble.
- Bake at 350u0b0 for 35 to 40 minutes.
- Cool and cut.
