Asparagus Cheddar Quiche

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
  2. Brush partially baked pastry shell with mustard.
  3. Set aside.
  4. Melt butter.
  5. Cook onion until tender but do not brown.
  6. Combine onion with dill, chopped asparagus stems and cheese.
  7. Spoon evenly into pastry shell.
  8. Arrange asparagus tips decoratively around quiche.
  9. Beat eggs with yolks.
  10. Add milk, salt, pepper, nutmeg and cayenne.
  11. Pour over asparagus and cheese.
  12. Bake 35 to 40 minutes or until just set.
  13. Cool 10 minutes before serving.
