Joann Bowden'S Spaghetti With Meat Sauce
- 2 lb. ground beef
- 1 medium onion, finely chopped
- 1 green pepper, finely chopped
- 2 (15 oz.) cans tomato sauce
- 2 (12 oz.) cans tomato paste
- 1 (7 1/2 oz.) can pitted ripe olives, drained and sliced
- 2 (1 1/2 oz.) envelopes Italian style spaghetti sauce with mushrooms
- 3 c. water
- 1 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 tsp. oregano
- 2 cloves garlic or 1/4 tsp. powder
- 16 oz. Italian spaghetti
- Parmesan cheese
- Cook and stir ground beef, onion and pepper until meat is brown and onion is tender.
- Stir in remaining ingredients except spaghetti and Parmesan cheese.
- Simmer, uncovered, 1 1/2 hours, stirring occasionally.
- Place in covered container.
- Refrigerate overnight.
- Cook spaghetti as directed on package.
- Heat sauce; serve over spaghetti.
