Grandmother'S Special Pork Chops
- 4 center cut pork chops with fat trimmed off
- 1/2 c. flour
- 1 Tbsp. lemon pepper spice
- 2 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 3 Tbsp. oil
- 1/4 c. water
- 2 large lemons
- 1 large bell pepper, cut in strips
- 1 large onion, sliced and separated in rings
- 1 large can tomato sauce (use 2 cans for more gravy)
- dash of salt and pepper
- Heat oil in skillet.
- Sprinkle chops with salt and pepper, then dredge in flour.
- Brown on both sides and remove from pan.
- Drain grease from skillet, then put chops back in skillet.
- Cut lemons in quarters and squeeze juice over chops.
- Place lemons on top of chops, along with bell pepper strips and onion rings.
- Add water, lemon pepper spice, Worcestershire sauce and tomato sauce to cover all.
- Cover and cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until chops are tender.
- This gravy is excellent on mashed potatoes.
