Sweet Sour Beef 'N' Cabbage

  1. In skillet, cook ground beef, onion, celery and green pepper until meat is browned; drain off fat.
  2. Sprinkle meat mixture with rolled oats, parsley, salt, garlic powder and pepper.
  3. Core cabbage; cut into six wedges.
  4. Place atop meat.
  5. In bowl, combine tomato sauce, vinegar, brown sugar and the 1/2 teaspoon salt and a dash of pepper; mix well.
  6. Pour over cabbage and meat.
  7. Cover and simmer for 15 to 20 minutes or until cabbage is tender.
  8. Serve at once.
  9. Makes 6 servings.
