Quick Baked Pasta Family Style

  1. Bring 4 quarts water to boil.
  2. Heat a large frying pan and add the oil, beef and garlic.
  3. Saute until meat is tender and then drain off excess fat.
  4. Add all remaining ingredients, except the cheese (for topping) and the pasta.
  5. Simmer the mixture while the pasta cooks until just barely tender.
  6. Drain the pasta and mix it with the sauce.
