Great Grandma Clark'S Chocolate Caramels

  1. Thoroughly mix together almond paste, chocolate and almonds. Knead on surface sprinkled with 1 to 2 tablespoons of powdered sugar until of uniform color and consistency.
  2. Shape into a roll about 6-inches long.
  3. Roll in powdered sugar.
  4. Wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 12 hours.
  5. Cut roll into 1/4-inch slices.
  6. Makes 2 dozen candies.
