Alabama Camp Stew
- 2 lb. pork, cooked
- 1 lb. chicken, cooked
- 1 lb. roast beef, cooked
- 1 1/2 lb. potatoes
- 1/2 lb. white onions
- 2 1/2 c. tomatoes
- 1 1/2 c. catsup
- juice of 1 lemon
- 2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
- salt to taste
- Tabasco to taste
- dash of red pepper
- dash of black pepper
- 1/4 lb. creamed corn
- Boil all meat together in enough water to cover meats.
- Cook until tender.
- Remove bones and grind meat.
- Cook potatoes, tomatoes and onions in meat broth until potatoes crumble to touch. Stir well while cooking.
- When vegetables are done, add ground meat and stir well over low heat.
- Add all remaining ingredients, except corn and butter.
- Mix well and season to taste.
- Let simmer for about 1 hour, stirring frequently.
- Add corn and simmer, stirring constantly, for about 15 minutes.
- Serve with crackers.
