Easy Turkey Pot Pie
- 1 (6 oz.) pkg. Stove Top chicken flavor stuffing mix
- 1 (4 oz.) can mushroom stems and pieces
- 1 chicken bouillon cube
- 1/4 c. butter or margarine
- 1/4 c. finely chopped onion
- 1/3 c. all-purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/8 tsp. pepper
- 1 c. milk
- 1/2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 2 1/2 c. diced, cooked turkey
- Prepare stuffing mix as directed on package using 1 1/2 cups water.
- Press gently into greased 1-quart ring mold and keep warm. Drain mushrooms, reserving liquid.
- Add boiling water to liquid to make 1 cup; add bouillon cube and stir until dissolved.
- Melt butter in saucepan.
- Add mushrooms and onion and cook until lightly browned.
- Blend in flour, salt and pepper.
- Add measured liquid, milk and Worcestershire sauce.
- Cook and stir until thickened and smooth.
- Add turkey and heat thoroughly.
- Just before serving, unmold stuffing ring onto serving platter.
- Spoon turkey mixture around base and into center of ring.
- Makes 6 servings.
