Pork Chop Onion Rice Bake

  1. Brown chops in oil.
  2. Spread rice in bottom of 13 x 9-inch pan. Reserve 1 tablespoon seasonings from soup mix.
  3. Sprinkle remaining seasonings and onion over rice.
  4. Drain mushrooms reserving liquid.
  5. Place mushrooms and pimento over rice.
  6. Add hot water to reserved mushroom liquid to make 3 cups; pour over rice. Arrange browned chops on top of rice mixture.
  7. Sprinkle chops with remaining seasonings.
  8. Cover tightly with foil and bake at 350u0b0 until chops are tender, 45 minutes to 1 hour.
  9. Remove foil and continue cooking for 10 minutes longer until excess liquid evaporates.
  10. Makes 6 servings.
