Chocolate Chip Banana Nut Muffins

  1. Preheat oven to 375u0b0.
  2. Lightly grease 12 muffin cups.
  3. In large bowl, stir together flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt.
  4. In another bowl, cream the butter and brown sugar for
  5. 2 minutes, or until light.
  6. Beat in the eggs.
  7. Stir in the banana, milk and vanilla.
  8. (The mixture will look curdled.)
  9. Add the flour mixture and stir just to combine.
  10. Reserve 2 tablespoons each of the walnuts and chocolate chips and stir in the remaining walnuts and chocolate chips.
  11. Spoon the batter into the prepared muffin cups.
  12. Sprinkle the tops with the reserved walnuts and chocolate chips.
  13. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
