Danish Puff

  1. Cut 1 cup flour and 1/2 cup butter together as for pie crust. Stir in 3 tablespoons water with a fork to form a soft dough. Divide dough in half and form into 2 oblongs about 4 inches wide and as long as a cookie sheet.
  2. Use fingers to pat dough into shape.
  3. Melt 1/2 cup butter in 1 cup boiling water.
  4. Remove from heat and immediately add almond flavoring and 1 cup flour all at once.
  5. Stir until dough leaves sides of kettle.
  6. Put in small mixing bowl and beat in eggs, one at a time.
  7. Spread on the 2 oblongs and bake about 50 minutes in a 350u0b0 oven.
  8. While warm, frost puff with Toasted Coconut Icing.
