Daddy'S Custard

  1. First
  2. take
  3. coconut
  4. milk,
  5. heat 2 1/2 cups whole milk. Add 2
  6. cups
  7. flaked
  8. or
  9. shredded coconut.
  10. Simmer 10 minutes. Pour into
  11. blender
  12. container and whirl at highest speed until coconut is finely ground.
  13. Strain through strainer.
  14. Beat eggs until whites
  15. are no longer stringy (eggs should not be foamy). Add sugar
  16. and
  17. coconut
  18. milk.
  19. Stir until sugar is dissolved. Blend evaporated
  20. milk,
  21. cardamon, mace, cloves and flavoring. Pour into
  22. baking
  23. dish,
  24. place dish into pot half-filled with boiling water.
  25. Bake at 325u0b0 for 1 hour and 15 minutes or until knife inserted in the center comes
  26. out clean.
  27. Cool, cover and chill, decorate with coconut.
