Megan'S Taco Salad

  1. In skillet, brown onion and ground beef.
  2. Salt and pepper to taste.
  3. Drain well.
  4. Add sugar; cook for 1 minute.
  5. Add chili powder; cook another minute.
  6. Add barbecue sauce; mix.
  7. Add only enough ketchup to color meat (should be a little dry).
  8. Cook for 2 minutes; remove from heat.
  9. Chop the well drained head of lettuce; add cheese.
  10. Add only enough dressing to lightly cover.
  11. Add meat to lettuce; mix.
  12. Crumble chips on top and serve.
  13. Do not mix ahead, or lettuce and chips will become soggy.
