Crab Casserole
- 8 to 10 slices white bread, cubed
- 2 lb. crab meat
- 3/4 c. mayonnaise
- 1 onion, chopped fine
- 1 green pepper, chopped fine
- 1 c. celery, chopped fine
- 3 c. milk
- 4 eggs, beaten
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 small jar pimiento, drained
- 1 can mushroom soup
- 1 c. grated American cheese
- paprika and black pepper
- Grease a 16-inch baking dish and put in 1/2 bread crumbs.
- Mix crab meat, mayonnaise, onion, pepper, celery and pimento and place on bread cubes.
- Put remaining bread cubes on crab mixture.
- Mix eggs, milk, salt and pepper and pour over casserole; let set overnight in refrigerator.
- Next day, cover with undiluted soup and bake at 325u0b0 for 50 minutes.
- Add cheese and paprika and bake 10 minutes.
