Pineapple Cream Cheese Squares

  1. Combine crumbs, 1/4 cup sugar and butter.
  2. Press into the bottom of a 9-inch square pan.
  3. Bake at 375u0b0 for about 8 minutes. Cool.
  4. Prepare whipped topping mix as directed on package.
  5. Blend cream cheese and 1/4 cup sugar together.
  6. Fold in prepared whipped topping.
  7. Spoon into crumb-lined pan, spreading evenly.
  8. Chill until set.
  9. Drain pineapple, saving the syrup.
  10. Add water to syrup to make 1 cup.
  11. Dissolve jello in boiling water.
  12. Add the cup of pineapple syrup and water mixture.
  13. Chill until thickened. Arrange 9 slices of pineapple on cream cheese mixture.
  14. Spoon jello onto this.
  15. Chill until firm.
