Chris' Spaghetti Sauce
- 2 to 3 lb. ground beef
- 1/2 large onion, chopped
- 1/2 medium green pepper, chopped
- 2 bay leaves
- 1/2 tsp. oregano
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. garlic salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp. prepared mustard
- 1 large can tomato paste + 1 can water
- 1 large can tomato sauce + 1 can water
- 2 Tbsp. oil
- Place oil in heavy pan over heat; add chopped onion and pepper and saute until 1/2 cooked without browning.
- Add ground beef and cook until it starts to brown.
- Add paste and sauce; stir and let cook until grease has turned red.
- Add water and seasoning.
- When mixture starts to boil, lower heat to simmer and cook for not less than 5 hours.
