Italian Style Brazzoli
- 2 lb. beef round steak, cut in 1/2-inch cubes
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 Tbsp. dried parsley flakes
- 1 tsp. leaf basil
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 1 garlic clove, finely chopped
- 1 c. water
- 1/4 c. grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
- 1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste
- 1 c. raisins
- hot cooked spaghetti
- Place meat in 1 1/2-quart glass casserole.
- Cover with lid or plastic wrap.
- Put in microwave on High for 6 minutes.
- Drain. Stir in parsley, salt, basil, pepper, garlic and water; re-cover. Put microwave on simmer for 20 minutes.
- Stir in remaining ingredients, except spaghetti.
- Re-cover and continue cooking on simmer for 15 to 20 minutes or until meat is fork-tender.
- Let stand, covered, 5 minutes before serving.
- Serve over spaghetti. Can substitute noodles for spaghetti.
- Serves 4 to 6.
