Nathan'S Favorite Lasagne
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 2 cloves garlic
- 2 Tbsp. salad or olive oil
- 1 (No. 2) can tomatoes
- 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
- 1/2 c. grated Parmesan
- 1/2 tsp. oregano
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 8 oz. lasagne noodles
- 1/2 lb. Swiss or Monterey Jack cheese
- 3/4 lb. Ricotta or dry cottage cheese
- Cook noodles; drain.
- Mince garlic; brown lightly with crumbled beef in oil.
- Simmer for 20 minutes.
- Butter large casserole.
- Cover bottom with layer of noodles.
- Add sliced cheese, Ricotta, then meat mixture.
- Repeat layers; top with Parmesan.
- Bake for 20 minutes at 375u0b0.
- Can be made day before and reheated, uncovered.
- Good with green salad, mandarin oranges and French bread.
