Fall Off The Bone Baby Back Ribs
- 3 1/2 lbs baby back ribs, cut in half
- 2 tablespoons onion powder
- 2 tablespoons garlic powder
- 4 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 teaspoons chili powder
- 2 teaspoons smoked paprika
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoons oil
- 2 tablespoons barbecue sauce
- Remove silverskin from back of ribs.
- Cut ribs into manageable sections.
- Mix all dry ingredients in a bowl.
- Add oil to dry ingredients, mixing with hands to combine.
- Cover ribs, top and bottom, with dry rub and place in an airtight bag.
- Marinate ribs in refrigerator overnight.
- Remove ribs from refrigerator 1 hour before cooking, so they get to room temperature.
- Heat oven to 250 degrees F.
- Wrap rib sections in foil, creating pouches.
- Place foil wrapped ribs on baking sheet.
- Bake in center of oven for 4 hours.
- Remove ribs and carefully drain liquid from pouches.
- Turn oven to Broil.
- Open pouches to expose tops of ribs.
- Place ribs under broiler for 3 to 5 minutes. Watch carefully so they don't burn.
- Remove from broiler and brush a light layer of barbeque sauce on top of ribs.
