Gelatin Heavenly Hash

  1. Completely dissolve gelatin in boiling water.
  2. Combine cold water and ice cubes to make 1 1/4 cups.
  3. Add to gelatin, stirring until slightly thickened.
  4. Remove any unmelted ice.
  5. Add whipped topping, blending until smooth.
  6. Stir in pineapple, mandarin oranges, marshmallows and nuts.
  7. Pour in a serving bowl or individual dessert dishes.
  8. Chill until set, about 2 hours. Garnish with additional fruit and mint leaves, if desired.
