Gelatin Heavenly Hash
- 1 pkg. (4 servings) Jell-O (any flavor)
- 3/4 c. boiling water
- 1/2 c. cold water
- ice cubes
- 1 c. thawed Cool Whip or sour cream
- 1 (20 oz.) can crushed pineapple, drained
- 1 (11 oz.) can mandarin orange sections, drained
- 1 c. miniature marshmallows
- 1/4 c. chopped walnuts or pecans
- Completely dissolve gelatin in boiling water.
- Combine cold water and ice cubes to make 1 1/4 cups.
- Add to gelatin, stirring until slightly thickened.
- Remove any unmelted ice.
- Add whipped topping, blending until smooth.
- Stir in pineapple, mandarin oranges, marshmallows and nuts.
- Pour in a serving bowl or individual dessert dishes.
- Chill until set, about 2 hours. Garnish with additional fruit and mint leaves, if desired.
