Caramel French Toast

  1. In a medium saucepan combine brown sugar, 3/4 cup butter and corn syrup.
  2. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly for 5 min. or until bubbly.
  3. Pour syrup evenly into lightly greased 9 x 13 in. baking dish.
  4. Place bread slices over syrup.
  5. Combine eggs, milk, vanilla and salt.
  6. Stir well and pour over bread.
  7. Cover and refrigerate at least 8 hours.
  8. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Combine sugar and cinnamon.
  9. Sprinkle evenly over soaked bread. Drizzle 1/4
  10. melted butter over top.
  11. Bake uncovered 45-50 min. or until golden and bubbly.
  12. Yields 10 servings.
