Glazed Pork Chops
- 6 pork chops (3/4-inch thick)
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 1 (2 lb.) can peach halves
- 1/2 c. light corn syrup
- 1 tsp. lemon juice
- 1/4 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp. ginger
- 1/8 tsp. ground cloves
- 2 tsp. flour
- 1/4 c. water
- Brown the pork chops on both sides in a skillet over medium heat; pour off excess fat.
- Sprinkle pork chops with salt and pepper.
- Drain the peaches, reserving 1/4 cup syrup.
- Mix reserved peach syrup, corn syrup, lemon juice, cinnamon, ginger and cloves; pour over chops.
- Cover pan; cook over low heat for 45 minutes, or until pork is done.
- Add the peach halves; heat through.
- Remove chops and peach halves to a serving platter and keep warm.
- Mix the flour and water; stir into the liquid in skillet.
- Bring to boil, stirring constantly, then spoon over chops.
- Makes 6 servings.
