Apple Crostata

  1. Heat oven to 400u0b0F.
  2. Remove pie crust from pouch; sprinkle with flour and roll out slightly.
  3. Place dough on ungreased cookie sheet.
  4. Mix sugar, brown sugar, the flour and cinnamon in medium bowl.
  5. Add lemon juice to apples; toss gently, then add sugar mixture and combine.
  6. Spoon apple mixture onto center of crust, spreading to within 2 inches of edge.
  7. Fold edge of crust over apples; crimp and fold dough like pleats.
  8. Cut butter into small pieces and place in several spots on top of apples.
  9. Bake 30 to 45 minutes or until crust is golden brown and apples are tender.
  10. Poke apples with a knife tip to see if they are done.
  11. If crust becomes too brown, place a sheet of aluminum foil over the top during baking.
