Italian Spaghetti
- 1-3 lb. ground beef or ground chuck
- 1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste
- 1 (10 1/2 oz.) can cream of mushroom soup
- 1 regular size jar Ragu Old World Style meat flavor spaghetti sauce
- 1 c. celery, chopped
- 1/2 c. bell pepper, chopped
- 1 large onion, chopped
- salt and pepper to taste
- 1/2 to 1 c. mild cheddar cheese, grated
- pkg. spaghetti
- Cook meat in a heavy iron skillet until the meat is well done and all the fat is cooked out.
- Pour into colander to drain off any remaining grease.
- Run hot water over the meat to wash.
- Wipe the grease from skillet with paper towels.
- Return meat to skillet.
- Add all other ingredients except cheese.
- Cook on low heat until well done, usually 1 to 2 hours.
- Cook spaghetti until tender.
- Drain and mix with sauce in a 2-3 quart casserole dish and cook in oven at 350 to 400 degrees until it cooks through, 20-30 minutes.
- Remove and sprinkle with grated cheese.
