Nasi Goreng(Indonesian Fried Rice)

  1. Combine chuck, bread crumbs, eggs, 1/2 cup onions, salt and pepper.
  2. Form into tiny meat balls; set aside.
  3. In large Dutch oven, melt 3 tablespoons butter.
  4. Add 1 1/2 cups onions and celery; saute until golden.
  5. Remove from pan.
  6. In same pan, brown meat balls, keeping them round by rotating pan.
  7. Melt 3 tablespoons butter.
  8. Add curry, 2 teaspoons salt, 1/4 teaspoon pepper and broth; bring to boil.
  9. Add rice; cover, remove from heat and let stand 5 minutes.
  10. Add celery-onion mixture, shrimp and rice to meat balls in pan.
  11. Cover; heat until hot.
  12. Serve in same Dutch oven or heaped on platter.
  13. Serves 8 to 10.
