Chocolate Snowflakes
- 2 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. vegetable oil
- 4 (1 oz.) sq. unsweetened chocolate, melted
- 4 eggs
- 2 tsp. vanilla extract
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 2 c. all-purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 3/4 c. sifted powdered sugar
- Combine first 3 ingredients in a large mixing bowl.
- Beat at medium speed until blended.
- Add eggs and vanilla, mixing well. Combine flour, baking powder and salt.
- Add about 1/4 of dry mixture at a time to wet mixture, mixing after each addition. Cover and chill dough at least 2 hours.
- Shape dough into 1-inch balls and roll in powdered sugar.
- Place cookies 2-inches apart on greased cookie sheet.
- Bake at 350u0b0 for 10 to 12 minutes.
- Cool on wire racks.
- Yield:
- 8 dozen.
