Pound Cake

  1. Sift flour with baking powder and salt.
  2. Cream butter 10 minutes or until very soft and fluffy.
  3. Add sugar, two tablespoons at a time, creaming thoroughly after each addition.
  4. Blend in vanilla and mace.
  5. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
  6. Add flour alternately with milk, beginning and ending with flour and beating after each addition until smooth. Bake in a greased and floured 10-inch tube pan at 325u0b0 about 1 1/2 hours or until cake tester inserted into cake comes out clean. Cool in pan 15 minutes; remove and finish cooling on rack.
  7. Glaze top and drizzle down sides of cake with Orange Butter Glaze. Sprinkle with flaked coconut.
