Pizza Meat Loaf
- 2 lb. ground beef
- 1/2 lb. Italian sausage, casing removed and crumbled
- 1 c. saltine cracker crumbs or Italian bread crumbs
- 1 chopped onion
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 egg
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- 3/4 tsp. oregano
- 1 (15 oz.) can tomato sauce
- 3 oz. grated Mozzarella cheese
- Combine ground beef, sausage, cracker crumbs, onion, garlic and egg.
- Mix salt and oregano into tomato sauce, reserving 1/4 teaspoon of oregano.
- Set aside 1/3 cup seasoned tomato sauce and add remainder to meat mixture.
- Form into a loaf.
- Bake at 350u0b0 for 1 hour.
- Pour remaining sauce over top and sprinkle with cheese and 1 1/4 teaspoon of oregano.
- Return to oven for 10 minutes.
- Let stand for 10 minutes before serving.
