Hot Clam Dip
- 2 cans minced clams
- 1 tsp. lemon juice
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 green pepper, chopped
- 1 tsp. parsley
- 1/2 c. butter
- 1 tsp. oregano
- 2 dashes Tabasco
- 2 dashes cayenne pepper
- 1/2 c. seasoned bread crumbs
- 1 c. crumbled Velveeta cheese or Cheddar
- 1 Tbsp. grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 tsp. paprika
- In saucepan, simmer clams and lemon juice for 15 minutes.
- In another saucepan, simmer onion, garlic, pepper, parsley, butter, oregano, Tabasco and cayenne until soft.
- Combine two mixtures. Stir in bread crumbs.
- Place in ovenproof dish.
- Top with crumbled cheese.
- Sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese; dust with paprika. Bake at 350u0b0 for 20 minutes; 45 minutes if frozen.
