Paige'S Pretzels
- 1 pkg. yeast
- 1 1/2 c. warm water
- 4 c. flour
- 1 tsp. lite salt (optional)
- 1 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 Egg Beater, beaten
- nonfat cooking spray
- coarse salt
- Preheat oven to 425u0b0.
- In
- a large bowl, dissolve yeast in
- 1 1/2 cups warm water. Add 4 cups flour, lite salt and sugar. Mix well.
- On a lightly floured surface, knead the mixture well with your hands.
- Roll pieces of dough into any shapes you like. Place them on a
- cookie sheet that has been sprayed with a nonfat cooking spray.
- In a small bowl, beat Egg Beater.
- Brush the tops of the dough with the Egg Beater. Sprinkle with coarse salt.
- Bake the pretzels at 425u0b0 for 10 to 15 minutes or until golden brown. This is a great recipe for the kids to make!
- Yields 1 1/2 dozen big soft pretzels.
