Green Beans Almondine

  1. In large skillet over high heat, bring 1-inch water to a boil.
  2. Add washed green beans and cook 5 minutes; drain.
  3. Remove beans and wipe out skillet.
  4. In the same skillet over medium-high heat, melt the butter.
  5. Add sliced almonds; cook 2 minutes or until browned, stirring frequently.
  6. Meanwhile, halve the cherry tomatoes.
  7. Add to skillet and cook 3 to 5 minutes, gently pressing with a wooden spoon to release the juices.
  8. Season tomato mixture with salt and pepper.
  9. Cook 5 minutes more or until softened.
  10. Add cooked green beans to the skillet.
  11. Gently toss all ingredients together; cook 1 to 2 minutes or until heated through.
  12. Makes 8 servings.
