Banana Variety Bread
- 1/4 c. butter, softened
- 2/3 c. honey
- 3 eggs, beaten
- 1 c. mashed ripe bananas (about 3 medium bananas)*
- 1/3 c. liquid
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1/4 c. dry milk or other powder
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 2 c. flour
- chopped nuts (optional)
- peanut M & M's (optional)
- Combine butter, honey, beaten eggs and mashed bananas.
- Then add liquid (this can be fruit juice of any kind, a soft drink or even beer).
- Add vanilla and dry milk (substitute chocolate milk powder, hot cocoa mix, Tang or Kool-Aid, if desired).
- Then add baking powder, baking soda and flour.
- Mix all ingredients together with electric mixer.
- If desired, fold in peanut M & M's or chopped nuts by hand.
- Pour batter into a greased loaf pan and bake at 325u0b0 for 1 hour.
- This is a very versatile recipe; use your imagination to come up with new taste treats!
