Peanut Butter Chocolate Centered Cookies
- 1/2 cup margarine or butter
- 1 cup smooth peanut butter
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 3/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- Chocolate Candy Kisses
- 2 - 1/2 cups unsifted flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- Mix first six ingredients together until fluffy.
- Separately mix the flour, soda, baking powder and salt.
- Then add these to the first six ingredients.
- Mix well.
- Roll into 1 inch balls and roll each ball in sugar.
- Place about 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheets.
- Bake in preheated 350u0b0 oven for 10 - 11 minutes, remove quickly from oven.
- Place one chocolate candy kiss into the center of each cookie pointed side down.
- Bake for exactly one minute longer.
- Remove from oven and immediately spread chocolate over each cookie.
- You may want to leave the cookie as is or you may place a butterscotch chip in each one.
- Freezes well.
- Makes 6 - 7 dozen cookies.
