Choc-Oat Chip Bar Cookies
- 1 c. butter or margarine, softened
- 1 1/4 c. firmly packed brown sugar
- 1/2 c. granulated sugar
- 2 eggs
- 2 Tbsp. milk
- 1/2 tsp. salt (optional)
- 12 oz. semi-sweet chocolate morsels
- 1 c. coarsely chopped nuts (optional)
- 2 tsp. vanilla
- 1 3/4 c. all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 2 1/2 c. Quick or old fashioned oats
- Heat oven to 375u0b0.
- Beat margarine and sugars until creamy. Add eggs, milk, and vanilla.
- Beat well.
- Add flour, baking soda and salt.
- Mix well.
- Stir in oats, chocolate chips, and nuts. Mix well.
- Press dough onto bottom of ungreased 13 x 9-inch baking pan.
- Bake about 35 to 40 minutes or until light brown.
- Cool completely.
- Cut into bars.
- Makes about 3 dozen.
