Sausage Bread(Weight Watchers)
- 2 tsp. each: margarine and olive oil
- 1 loaf frozen dough (1 lb.), thawed
- 10 oz. cooked veal sausage, finely chopped or turkey sausage
- 1 small garlic clove, minced
- 3 oz. Provolone cheese, thinly sliced
- 3 oz. Mozzarella cheese, shredded
- Heat margarine and oil over medium heat until bubbly.
- Add garlic; saute until golden, about 1 minute.
- Press dough into a 17 x 10-inch rectangle sheet.
- Brush dough with half of the garlic mixture.
- Arrange Provolone over dough.
- Top with sausage. Sprinkle with Mozzarella.
- Firmly press into dough, starting from wide end.
- Roll, jelly roll fashion.
- Pinch to enclose and pinch ends.
- Put, seam sides down, onto nonstick sheet.
- Brush with remaining garlic
- mixture.
- Bake at 350u0b0 for 30 to 35 minutes or until brown.
- (If bread is browning too quickly, cover with foil.) Cool 15 minutes and slice.
