Low-Fat Fudgy Brownies

  1. Preheat oven to 350u0b0.
  2. Coat an 8-inch square baking dish with vegetable cooking spray.
  3. Cut chocolate into 1-inch pieces and place in a heatproof bowl.
  4. Set over low heat in a small skillet containing 1/2 inch simmering water.
  5. Stir occasionally just until chocolate is melted.
  6. Remove from heat; set aside.
  7. In a mixer bowl, combine all ingredients except flour and walnuts; beat to blend thoroughly.
  8. Mix in flour.
  9. Spread batter in prepared pan; sprinkle with walnuts.
  10. Bake about 30 minutes until springy to the touch around edges.
  11. Cool on rack; cut into 1 1/2-inch squares.
