Wild Rice Bread

  1. Dissolve yeast in warm water.
  2. Heat milk to lukewarm; add honey.
  3. Stir to dissolve.
  4. Add to ingredients.
  5. Stir in dry milk and oil.
  6. Stir in flour and cooked rice.
  7. Pour dough onto floured surface; knead in flour (dough is slightly sticky because of rice).
  8. Place in greased bowl.
  9. Cover.
  10. Let rise in warm place until double.
  11. Turn out on lightly floured surface.
  12. Knead well. Place in 2 loaf pans.
  13. Let rise until double.
  14. Turn out on lightly floured surface.
  15. Knead well.
  16. Place in 2 loaf pans.
  17. Let rise until double.
  18. Bake at 350u0b0 for 45 minutes until lightly brown. Brush with butter while still warm.
  19. This dough does not raise very fast.
