Cheese-Filled Salisbury Steaks

  1. In a medium bowl, mix lightly but thoroughly the beef, crumbs, Worcestershire sauce and pepper.
  2. Shape
  3. into 4 oval patties. Enclose a cheese stick in each patty, covering cheese completely. Brown patties in a little butter in a 10-inch skillet.
  4. Remove meat and add broth and water to skillet.
  5. Bring to a boil.
  6. Return patties and surround with onions.
  7. Cover and simmer over low heat for 20 minutes.
  8. Remove meat.
