Turkey-Cheddar Noodle Casserole
- 1 (8 oz.) pkg. medium egg noodles
- 1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen broccoli spears
- 3 Tbsp. oleo
- 3 Tbsp. flour
- 2 c. milk
- 1 Tbsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 1/4 tsp. mustard
- 1 1/2 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
- 1/2 c. toasted slivered almonds
- 2 c. cubed cooked turkey or chicken
- Cook noodles according to directions; cook broccoli tender-crisp.
- Drain and coarsely chop.
- Make white sauce of milk, flour and oleo.
- Stir seasoning into white sauce; stir cheese into white sauce.
- In 11 x 7 x 1 1/2-inch casserole, buttered, place 1/2 noodles; cover with turkey and 2/3 amount of broccoli.
- Pour half of cheese sauce over noodles and turkey.
- Cover with remaining noodles; press remaining broccoli flowerets into noodles.
- Pour over remaining cheese sauce; sprinkle with almonds. Bake at 350u0b0 for 30 minutes.
