Pineapple Upside-Down Cake

• 1/2 c. margarine
• 1 c. packed brown sugar
• 1 (20 oz.) can sliced pineapple, drained (save juice)
• walnut halves
• maraschino cherries
• 1 pkg. yellow cake mix

1. Preheat oven to 350u0b0.
2. Heat margarine in 9 x 13 x 2-inch baking dish or pan in oven until melted.
3. Sprinkle brown sugar over margarine.
4. Arrange pineapple on top of mixture.
5. Decorate with walnut halves and maraschino cherries.
6. Prepare cake mix as directed on package, except substitute pineapple juice for water. Pour cake batter over mixture already in pan.
7. Bake until top springs back when touched lightly in center, 45 to 55 minutes. Immediately invert pan on heatproof serving plate.
8. Let pan remain a few minutes.
9. Serve warm and if desired with whipped cream.
