Pecan Honeymoon Squares

  1. Preheat oven
  2. to
  3. 325u0b0.
  4. Blend Crisco and 1/2 cup brown sugar. Add
  5. 1
  6. cup flour and salt.
  7. Stir in milk.
  8. Pat evenly in greased 9
  9. x
  10. 9 x 2-inch pan.
  11. Bake for 20 minutes or until light brown. Beat
  12. eggs;
  13. add
  14. 1 cup brown sugar and vanilla. Beat
  15. until thick.
  16. Stir in remaining ingredients.
  17. Pour onto mixture in
  18. pan. Bake
  19. at 325u0b0 for 20 minutes or until golden brown.
  20. Cool.
  21. Frost and
  22. garnish
  23. with cherries, if desired. Cut into squares.
  24. Makes 3 dozen.
