Low Cal Cauliflower Theplas {Rotis} For Diabetic People
- 1 teaspoon dried basil leaves
- 1 cup whole wheat flour
- 3/4 teaspoon red chili powder
- 1 teaspoon coriander powder
- 3 tablespoons washed and finely chopped coriander leaves
- 1 teaspoon dried fenugreek leaves
- 1 garlic clove, pounded
- 1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1/4 inch piece fresh ginger, pounded
- 1/4 cup jawar flour
- 4 medium sized cauliflower florets
- 1/2 medium sized onion, finely chopped
- hot water, as required to knead the dough
- Knead all the ingredients together to combine well using hot water as required to combine.
- Pinch off round balls of the dough.
- Dust the board with a little flour.
- Roll out even-sized theplas.
- Cook on either side of a flat-bottomed pan{tava} without adding even a drop of oil until golden brown.
- Serve hot with masala bhindi or any other vegetable of your choice and some raita.
