Hamburger-Rice Skillet

  1. In skillet, cook beef or pork, onion, green pepper and garlic until meat is browned.
  2. Drain off fat.
  3. Add rice.
  4. Cook, stirring constantly, for 2 minutes.
  5. Add undrained tomatoes, tomato sauce, Worcestershire sauce, basil, 1 1/2 cups water and 1 teaspoon salt. Bring to boiling.
  6. Reduce heat, cover and simmer 25 to 30 minutes or until rice is tender.
  7. Stir occasionally.
  8. Remove cover, if desired.
  9. Makes 6 servings.
