Carne Guisada
- 1 lb. lean beef stew meat
- 1/4 c. oil or bacon drippings
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1/2 medium green pepper, chopped
- 3 medium tomatoes, chopped
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 2 Tbsp. flour
- 1 1/2 c. hot water
- 1 (4 oz.) can mild green chilies
- 2 tsp. comino seed
- salt and pepper to taste
- 8 flour tortillas
- Brown meat in oil.
- Add onion, green pepper and garlic. Sprinkle flour in slowly, stirring constantly.
- Add hot water. Add chopped
- tomatoes, green chilies and comino seed.timmer slowly until
- meat
- is tender and sauce thickens.tay have to add
- small amount
- of
- hot
- water occasionally.
- When meat is tender, heat tortillas.tut meat mixture on tortilla, roll up and serve.
