Grandmother'S Icebox Fruit Cake
- 2 c. chopped pecans
- 1 small can milk (evaporated)
- 1 c. chopped Brazil nuts
- 1 c. English walnuts
- 1/2 lb. candied cherries
- 1 box seedless raisins
- 1 box graham crackers
- 16 oz. large marshmallows
- 1/2 tsp. nutmeg
- 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
- Crush graham crackers and place in a large bowl. Add nuts, cherries, raisins and spices to crackers.
- Put milk and marshmallows in a large pot and heat slowly (do not boil) until marshmallows are melted. Stir to keep from sticking.
- Pour into cracker mixture and mix with hands.
- (Make sure nuts and cherries are not knotted up.)
- Put this into a casserole dish lined with wax paper.
- Press mixture until solid.
- Put in refrigerator overnight.
- Decorate with nuts and cherries.
